Beaches

Poppit Sands

This is located in St Dogmaels (15 minute, 8.2 miles drive) and is a large beautiful sandy beach. The Poppit Cafe sells lunch and ice cream and there is also the RNLI shop.

Mwnt

Located near Felinwynt (20 minute, 13 mile drive), Mwnt has a large cliff top that you can walk around and spot dolphins or seals. There is also an ancient famous church which is very picturesque. The sandy beach is down a number of steps with a little cafe on route. Close by to Mwnt is a kids playzone called the Felinwynt Playbarn. This has a soft play area and cafe serving lunches and hot drinks.

Newport beach

This is another large sandy beach in Newport (15 minute, 8.5 mile drive) that allows you to drive straight onto the beach and park up and picnic. There is also a cafe serving drinks and snacks and a golf club and restaurant.

Dinas

There are two lovely and very different beaches in Dinas. Cwm Yr Eglwys (25 min, 14.6 mile drive) has an old church grounds and large  concrete steps. It is the perfect place for rock pooling and canoeing/kayaking. There is also a place to get drinks and ice-cream. Pwll Gwalod  (27 minute, 15 mile drive) has a beautiful coastal path that takes you up over the cliffs revealing spectacular views. It is approximately a 1.5 hour round trip leading you through Cwm Y Eglwys and back to where you started and is one of our favourite places to go. The 'Old Sailors' pub serves food and drink to refresh you after your hike!

The beauty of the Ceredigion/Pembrokeshire area is that there are so many beaches. We have provided just a few examples but if you have the time we also encourage you to visit Aberporth, Llangrannog, Ceiber and Tresaith.
